With pregnancy comes many changes but decreased movement and pain don’t have to be a part of your new norm. Your pregnancy can be comfortable, easy, and enjoyable. We want to restore and maintain your health so you can be the MOM you were destined to be!
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of pelvic imbalance.
Dr. Sam is certified in the Webster Technique and uses this gentle chiropractic technique on all expectant mothers.
Dr. Samantha knows that pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood bring all kinds of new pains to your body and all kinds of anxiety along with it.
She is passionate about serving her patients because of her experience as a mom of 3 and commitment to continuing education. Not only has she lived it, but she has also helped countless moms over the years.
During birth, pelvic imbalance can affect labor progression, leading to unnecessary intervention. Pelvic imbalance adversely affects uterine nerve function, the structure of the pelvis, and may hinder a baby’s ability to gain optimal positioning. These are the very causes of dystocia or difficult, stalled labor. The Webster Technique helps achieve a state of balance in the pelvis that may contribute to a safer, easier birth outcome.
Along with adjustments many pregnant mothers can benefit from taping for extra support for their growing uterus. Using RockTape Dr. Sam helps to alleviate the aches and pains that are associated with pregnancy including back and rib pain, ankle and wrist swelling, and lower pelvic discomfort.
Dynamic Body Balancing (DBB) techniques are grounded in the same in-depth cranial anatomy and physiology as other schools of training in CranioSacral Therapy. With the addition of Myofascial Unwinding and Bio-field Therapies, DBB has become a beautiful form of hands-on care that restores balance to the mind, body and spirit.
CranioSacral therapy works wonders on pediatric patients with plagiocephaly, torticollis, or just irritable and fussy babies who need help relaxing. For a pregnant woman, DBB can help to remove any tension present within the body that can contribute to fetal malpositioning and can decrease discomforts such as rib, pelvic, or back pain. Dr. Sam incorporates DBB into her normal chiropractic adjustments but can also schedule one-on-one 30-minute sessions for more in-depth CranioSacral sessions when needed.
